My passion for prediabetes and type 2 diabetes started with helping my first client reduce their A1C from a dangerous 14.1% to 8% within 4-months AND fasting blood sugars reaching under 130mg/dl after 9-months of working with me. Then, BAM I, a Registered Dietitian, got diagnosed with prediabetes while still managing PCOS-like symptoms and insulin resistance.
I was immediately met with shame and disappointment that it had come to this. I’m a dietitian, I should never have such a diagnosis! I’m sure you’re met with similar feelings but I’m here to tell you there is a solution to slow the progression of type 2 diabetes or even reverse it, like I was able to. All the while still making room for the foods I enjoy and to lead the lifestyle that empowers me. Together, we can do the same for you!
