Provider Partnerships — FAQs

Who do you work with?

I collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals who support patients with metabolic, hormonal, and nutrition-related health concerns. Partnerships are designed to complement your clinical care and enhance patient understanding and adherence.

What types of patients do you typically support?

Nutrition counseling supports medical care by translating clinical recommendations into practical, sustainable strategies patients can implement in daily life. This often improves confidence, consistency, and long-term outcomes while reducing patient frustration and confusion.

What is your approach to collaborative care?

Care is collaborative, patient-centered, and aligned with each provider’s treatment goals. When appropriate, communication is clear and respectful, ensuring nutrition care supports — rather than contradicts — medical recommendations.

Do you provide feedback or updates on referred patients?

With patient consent, I am happy to communicate relevant nutrition-related insights or progress updates that support coordinated care. Communication is concise, clinically appropriate, and respectful of provider time.

How do you support patients using GLP-1 medications?

Nutrition support focuses on maintaining adequate nourishment, supporting blood sugar stability, preserving muscle mass, and addressing common nutrition-related concerns while patients are using GLP-1 medications. Care complements medical management and long-term metabolic health goals.

Do you work with patients preparing for fertility treatment or IVF?

Yes. Nutrition care supports hormonal and metabolic health during fertility planning and treatment. Care is designed to reduce nutrition-related stress while aligning with medical treatment plans.

Is your nutrition counseling evidence-based?

Yes. All nutrition recommendations are grounded in current evidence, clinical guidelines, and ongoing professional education. Care avoids restrictive or non-evidence-based approaches.

Do you accept insurance?

Insurance participation varies. Patients are guided through coverage details and payment options so they can make informed decisions about care.

How can I refer a patient?

Referrals can be made directly through the website or by faxing the practice at (732) 419-1300, emailing the practice at info@christabrowndietitian.com  The process is straightforward, and patients receive clear guidance on next steps.

What makes Christa’s practice a good referral fit?

Patients benefit from a supportive, practical approach to nutrition that prioritizes clarity, sustainability, and collaboration. Care is designed for patients who feel overwhelmed by nutrition information and need guidance that fits real life.
